WDSC 2024 Welcome Reception

Wednesday 10 July 2024 5.30pm - 7.30pm, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre

The Welcome Reception is a great opportunity to catch up with your peers in a social environment on the first evening of the Congress. The Welcome reception will be held amongst the WDSC 2024 exhibition and include a selection of food and beverage options.

Tickets: A ticket to the welcome reception is included in all full registrations. Additional tickets for day registrants or guests (not already registered) can be purchased via the online registration form for $75 AUD including GST.

WDSC 2024 Poster Reception

Thursday 11 July 2024 5:30pm – 6:30pm, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre

The Poster Reception is for Poster Presenters to present their posters. Printed posters will be on display for viewing. Presenters will be standing next to their posters and will answer any of your questions.

This is a free event.

Movie Night

What About Sal is a heart-warming story about a young man in his thirties with Down syndrome who lives with his mother and discovers she is dying from lung cancer with only months to live. What follows is a journey to find his estranged rock musician father.

Gerard O’Dwyer leads this feel-good film directed by, and co-starring, Aussie screen legend Jarratt (Wolf Creek, Picnic at Hanging Rock).

WDSC 2024 Congress Dinner

Friday 12 July 2024 6.30pm onwards, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre

The Congress Dinner will be the closing event of WDSC 2024 and one not to be missed!

Join us for a Native Australian flavours buffet dinner. Your ticket will include a drink on arrival, followed by a cash bar offering non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages for purchase. There will be a live band and a DJ!
